Honoring Volunteers-the Heart of the Red Cross
Volunteer opportunities are available to match your particular interests, special skills, and personal schedule. Here are just a few opportunities:
- Local Disaster Relief Events – events throughout the year that take place within Central Maryland and benefit victims of local disasters as well as national.
- National Disaster Relief Events Held Locally – events that are specific to a national or international disaster.
- Leadership Mentors and Trainers — Help guide high school and college students to become better leaders as they serve their communities through Red Cross service-learning projects. Trainers will develop leadership curriculums to present to students around Central Maryland. Volunteers must have a strong commitment to youth and have access to their own transportation. - Special Events Volunteer — Help to coordinate special events such as golf tournaments, auctions, dances, etc.

- Clerical Support Volunteer — Provide general clerical support in a variety of areas on a regular basis or as needed for special assignments.
