You can play a vital role in helping your community by becoming a Red Cross nursing volunteer!

The American Red Cross has an immediate need for volunteers to help in our relief and recovery efforts. If your schedule allows, please consider volunteering for this disaster relief. Also please encourage your family, friends and co-workers to volunteer in this time of need. On site training is provided if needed. Volunteers for National Disasters (like Isabel) must be 18 years old or older.

Please give this request special consideration. We need your help NOW!!

We need volunteers for the following functions:

Logistics
4 Drivers - Courier Work
4 Warehouse Workers
2 Procurement - Go to stores to buy supplies (Will drive Red Cross vehicle)

Family Services
5 Specialist or 5 Technicians (must have previous Red Cross Training)

Nursing
7-10 Nurses (must be a RN)

Disaster Mental Health: Need registered DMH Volunteers for 7 day assignment (must have previous Red Cross Training)

Mass Care: Need volunteers to work at the ARC Mobile Kitchens, 2 hour training provided if needed-2 day commitment requested.

Family Services: Needed to assist families with their disaster needs, 4 hour training provided, if needed-2 day commitment requested.

Data Entry/Clerical: Volunteers needed to help with Data input, answer phones, make copies, and general office support.

This is a very important request. If unable to do so, volunteers from outside the region will be called in to fill them. We will train you if needed. The projected length of time of this effort is approximately 3 weeks.
