We're seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee all AR functions, ensure compliant and accurate invoicing for government contracts, and guide a high-performing team toward operational excellence.

After the training period is complete, the role offers flexibility, allowing for telework with a requirement of 2 to 3 days per week in the office, depending on the current workload and specific situational demands.

You Will

  • Lead and mentor the Accounts Receivable (AR) team, providing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of AR operations—from invoice preparation and submission to collections and contract closeouts.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other federal acquisition regulations.
  • Monitor, analyze, and forecast cash flow; provide actionable insights to finance and leadership teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally with project, contracts, and finance teams to streamline processes and communication.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for internal project leads and external audits, including DCAA.
  • Drive process improvements and implement automation tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in a Microsoft 365 paperless environment.
  • Manage team priorities, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
  • Support general ledger reconciliations and month-end close in coordination with the Finance team.
  • Create training curriculum for future Team Members.

You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in invoicing and collections within a government contracting environment, including a significant focus on cost reimbursable contracts.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or supervising a team.
  • 10+ years of total experience in accounting or financial operations.
  • Experience with reviewing contracts for applicable invoicing and closeout requirements and determining system requirements/reporting to accommodate.
  • Advanced understanding of relevant FAR/DFARS and federal contracting compliance.
  • Robust Microsoft Excel skills and experience in a paperless, cloud-based work environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

We’d Be Impressed if You Had

  • Experience selecting, implementing, or optimizing AR automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with DCAA or other federal audit processes.
  • Proven success managing billing across multiple contract types and project teams.
  • A knack for simplifying complex contract billing into streamlined, repeatable processes.
