Job Description

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Automated Test and Tools (ATT) Product Owner (PO) to support the PEO MS, Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Define, prioritize, and manage the development of automated test cases and analysis tools.
• Work with Program Management to set priorities for new automated test capabilities and analysis tools.
• Provide guidance to the ATT team for each Program Increment (PI) and Sprint.
• Support the development of acceptance criteria for ATT tasks and stories.
• Verify the quality and completion of work performed by the ATT team and ensure capture/documentation of test results and defects in Jira and/or Confluence.
• Deliver technical briefings, demonstrations, and strategic advisement to leadership.
• Report on status, recommended actions, performance, risks, competing capabilities, and overall mission impact.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, science, or mathematics.
• Minimum of 7 years of combined Government/DoD experience performing relevant duties.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, performance) and testing concepts.
• Experience in gathering requirements, defining product roadmaps, and prioritizing features for test automation tools.
• Ability to create and maintain a prioritized product backlog of user stories and test cases.
• Proficiency in programming languages used for test automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Squish, Cucumber, and JUnit.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS systems.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Agilist Certification.
• Ability to lead and advocate for solutions with enthusiasm, independent thinking, and a collaborative spirit.
