Job Description

Overview Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages to Amazon customers. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team as an Area Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly workforce and be responsible for engaging your team during shifts to maintain safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in meeting customer expectations to ensure orders are delivered at the right time and location. Our Operations workflow includes First mile (product housed and ready for order), Middle mile (order moved to your area), and Last mile (product delivered to the customer's door). Workflows vary slightly by site, but the vision remains to serve the customer. We launch new Operations sites regularly, providing opportunities for professional growth. We hire Area Managers based on location preference and current openings. Key job responsibilities Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach Stand or walk for extended periods during shifts Work in environments with variable noise levels and weather (delivery stations include outside loading areas) Continuously climb and descend stairs (where applicable) A day in the life A Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience 3+ years of direct management experience for employees and their performance Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays Basic Qualifications 2+ years of employee and performance management experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays Preferred Qualifications Experience managing a team of 20+ employees Experience with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma) Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field Industry experience in retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production or distribution environments Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,400/year to $100,000/year, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
