Barista Part-Time - Starbucks Buckhead Area - Atlanta, GA Job Category : Food and Beverage Service Requisition Number : BARIS003152 Posted: January 14, 2025 Part-Time Locations Starbucks Coffee 3550 Lenox Rd NE Ste 2275 Atlanta, GA 30326 USA Purpose / Position Summary Support the restaurant by providing leadership and training to the Barista staff, which helps contribute the success by creating and maintaining the Starbucks Experience for our customers. Essential Duties / Responsibilities Adhere to all company policies as they relate to cash handling, standard operations, personal appearance, conduct, and guest relations. Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant, including trash removal, dishwashing, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning tables, countertops, food prep area, display cases and equipment. Know and implement the Company’s Customer Service Standards. Display a “customer always comes first” attitude by delivering legendary customer service. Provide effective coaching to improve individual and team performance. Perform restaurant opening duties including food preparation, stocking, rotating product and setting up displays. Perform restaurant closing duties including storing product, cleaning restaurant and equipment. Provide effective training of new Baristas per Starbucks standards. Promote a positive overall team atmosphere with cooperation, teamwork, high morale and positive interpersonal interactions. Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all aspects of customer service. Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements. Verify register and complete appropriate paperwork at opening and closing. Follow procedures for cash, charge, traveler’s checks and voucher sales. Process voids promptly. Communicate and work with Management to provide strong leadership and set the example for the team. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Lead with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes culture, values, mission of Concessions International and Starbucks. Demonstrate calmness during high volume or unusual events. Actively keep work area clean and safe for customers and coworkers. Utilize information from Standard Operations Procedures manuals to adhere to company policies. Perform any other tasks assigned by manager. Decision-Making Authority Position exercises some judgment daily in administering accounting transactions and providing information to managers. Education / Previous Experience High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; effectively communicate information to customers and coworkers; understand English written and verbal. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals. Reasoning Ability Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, use hands to handle objects, talk or hear; vision: close vision; continuous standing 100%, walking 50%, lifting 0-60 lb, frequent reaching, pushing, pulling 0-60 lb, stooping, bending, crouching.
