Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
  • License Required: Candidates must have state insurance licenses. 
  • Experience: 0-2 years of prior work experience

KSA's (knowledge, skills, abilities):

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to be trained evidenced by prior experience
  • Positive prior work experience preferably in the insurance industry
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications

Position Requirements:

General Summary: Proactively investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve automobile claims.

  • Integrity and pride of work necessary for a successful work at home environment
  • Take focused and thorough recorded statements from appropriate parties.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering incoming phone calls at call answer rate set in company guidelines
  • Maintain an organized desk by keeping Claim Diaries current
  • Provide excellent customer service by making contact on new claims at rate set in company guidelines and keeping appropriate parties updated
  • Review all new incoming mail/emails daily and take appropriate actions as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service by concluding claims at rate set in company guidelines
  • Coordinate potential fraud investigations with SIU
  • Comply with state specific regulations and state fair claim practices requirements
  • Maintain quality claim files in accordance with appropriate best practices and claim handling file expectations
  • Participate in individual and department training as needed
  • Work effectively with team members and other departments
  • Identify subrogation and salvage opportunities and complete required referral timely
  • Perform other duties as required
