Position Summary

Join the Phoenix Children’s Inpatient Pharmacy Team at our main campus! We’re seeking dedicated PRN Pharmacists to lead and support our pediatric patients’ medication management needs. As a pharmacist, you’ll play a pivotal role in our inpatient pharmacy environment, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for children. Enjoy a rotating schedule of evening and day shifts, including every third weekend and coverage for 2 holidays per year. We offer opportunities for advancement, with positions ranging from Clinical Pharmacist I, Clinical Pharmacist II, to Senior Clinical Pharmacist, based on experience and additional training. This position oversees the daily activities of the medication management process and provides comprehensive pharmacy services to patients from neonate to young adulthood while performing the duties of a registered pharmacist as defined by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and Phoenix Children’s. This position also ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations as well as proper storage and documentation. This position receives supervision and leadership oversight from Inpatient Pharmacy leaders.

Education
  • Bachelor?s Degree (BS) or Doctorate Degree (Pharm.D.) in Pharmacy or graduating from an accredited school or college of pharmacy in the next 6 months. (Required)
  • Completion of a post graduate year 1 (PGY-1) pharmacy residency program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). (Preferred)
Experience
  • Experience with information systems and automated and technical equipment. (Required)
  • One year of experience in a hospital pharmacy practice or equivalent. (Preferred)
  • One year of previous pediatric patient population experience or equivalent. (Preferred)
Certifications
  • Current licensure as a Pharmacist or eligible, either by reciprocity or examination by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy. (Required)
  • Current BLS and PALS or ACLS for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Preferred)
Special Skills
  • Experience with various types of computer software, including MS Office Suite or equivalent. (Required)
  • Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with other team members to support a cohesive work environment by demonstrating empathy, teamwork, and willingness to give and receive constructive feedback. (Required)
