First Merchants Bank is seeking a Commercial Appraisal Review Coordinator to join our team! This position is responsible for maintaining the consistency and efficiency of the commercial appraisal review process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Intake appraisal requests from lending partners. Create the appropriate review tasks and their respective deadlines in the system.
• Prepare appraisal tasks for bid solicitation and route them to the appropriate team member.
• Coach lending partners on system requirements and procedures to request real estate appraisals.
• Oversee workflow process to ensure continual movement and efficiency. Regularly communicate with lending partners to identify and alleviate process bottlenecks.
• Serve as the point person for appraisal and system process questions from lending partners. Escalate questions to teammates when appropriate.
• Document in system files with all relevant communication. When necessary, retrieve appraisal reports from outside sources and collect any required reliance documentation.
• Disseminate appraisal reports to third parties when necessary and provide required reliance documentation.
• Manage the appraisal invoicing and payment processes.

To be successful in this position, we require the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or an associate degree/ two years of college + two (2) years of related work/military experience ­OR four (4) years of related work/military experience (plus any additional required experience).
• A minimum of one (1) year administrative experience or related.

The following would be a plus:

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of real estate appraisal terms and concepts
• Working knowledge of the appraisal review process
• Prior experience with appraisal ordering and management platforms
