Corporate M&A Associate Attorney – San Diego

Direct Counsel is seeking a Corporate M&A Associate Attorney to join a leading Am Law 100 law firm in San Diego. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex merger and acquisition transactions for private and public companies within a growing corporate practice.

The Associate Attorney will focus on drafting, negotiating, and executing acquisition agreements, as well as supporting cross-border and complex corporate transactions as needed. This position is ideal for candidates with significant M&A experience and transferable big law skills who are looking to further develop their corporate practice in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

• Draft and negotiate principal acquisition agreements for private and public company transactions.

• Execute and manage all aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence and closing processes.

• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups on complex corporate matters.

• Provide high-quality, timely legal advice and client service in a fast-paced environment.

• 4–6 years of M&A experience at a leading Am Law 100 or comparable firm.

• Licensed to practice law in California.

• Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized law schools.

• Excellent analytical, writing, organizational, and communication skills.

• Experience with complex cross-border transactions and global corporate restructurings preferred but not required.

• Annual salary range: $310,000 – $390,000 , depending on experience and location.
