Remote position available in select states across the US, including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming.

• The Abstractor reviews inpatient and outpatient medical records, abstracts data into the Cerner system, ensuring accuracy of discharge disposition, admission orders, and other details, collaborating with coding and compliance teams.
• Requires a high school diploma and prior HIM experience, with preferred coding course completion.
• Must demonstrate strong computer skills, excellent communication, and analytical abilities to interpret medical data and assign appropriate codes, with knowledge of ICD-10 systems.
• Preferred certifications include AHIMA CCS or AAPC COC/CPC.
