• \n Duration: A minimum of 8 weeks during Summer 2026.

• \n Location: The position is on-site and you may be placed in any of the following locations:

  • Connecticut: Groton, New London, North Stonington

  • Rhode Island: North Kingstown

• \n Relocation Assistance: This internship is not eligible for a housing stipend or relocation assistance.

Qualifications

Required:

\n
• Enrolled full-time at a College or University
\n
• Completed at least Freshman year by Summer 2026
\n
• Pursing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
\n

\n
Preferred:

\n
• Familiarity with OSHA safety and health standards or environmental regulations.
\n
• Strong interest in safety and/or industrial hygiene fields, or
\n
• Strong interest in occupational sciences/engineering and how environmental regulations apply in the shipbuilding environment.
\n
• Strong interest in a shipyard trade or construction environment.
\n

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a team
\n
• Ability to learn new skills and apply them
\n
• Ability to solve problems in a constructive manner
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills

• Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Office)
