Responsibilities Assess furniture damage, select appropriate tools and determine method of repair required, and perform various furniture repair and refurbishment tasks for all case goods, upholstery, and leather products. Employ a range of repair techniques—fillers, burn‐ins, color matching, structural repairs, and installation of replacement parts—in customers’ homes. Partner with Customer Service to ensure proper repair or replacement assessment before communicating with customers and making client commitments. Collaborate closely with operations scheduling to execute assigned daily repair routes. Report completed work accurately. Communicate cordially and effectively with customers while visiting their homes. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times. Follow all safe work practices and rules. Travel safely and legally to and from customers’ homes. Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience (preferred). Experience using hand and electrical tools to assemble furniture. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact directly with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven computer skills for record keeping. Knowledge in woodworking, upholstery, leather repair, faux finishing, paint color matching, custom framing, coatings, and finishes on various surfaces, and furniture construction methods. Ability to repair wood, leather, fabric, metal, stone, marble, concrete. Ability to carry out goals and instructions, and follow through on assignments. Exceptional problem‑solving skills. Team player. Ability to multitask different projects simultaneously. Ability to lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds. Position involves prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and/or climbing.
