Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Commercial Estimator to join our team in North Charleston, SC. As an HVAC Commercial Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our projects by providing accurate cost estimates for HVAC systems in commercial buildings. As a Level 1 Commercial Estimator, you will provide support to our Lead Estimator and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC installations and repairs in commercial settings.
Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to develop accurate estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather relevant data.
Maintain a database of costs for materials, labor, and equipment to ensure competitive pricing.
Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients.
Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an HVAC estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation processes.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Procore experience is a plus.
Relevant certifications or degrees in HVAC technology, engineering, or a related field are a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
