NTT DATA is currently looking for an IBM i Consultant  remote for our growing team in the UK.

Overview 

An exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced IBM i Consultant to join an established team in the role of Senior Technical Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

• Applies foundational technical knowledge of an architecture solution to meet business requirements and resolve identified technical constraints
• Focus on independent execution, problem solving and demonstration of passion towards engineering excellence
• Work on various complex projects, as a Technical Expert in the IBM i environment
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical deliverables are met

Key skills

• In-depth IBM i software knowledge spanning ideally 10+ Years with SME levels of exposure of IBM i OS - 3rd Party products a nice to have
• Profound experience with PASE, Linux, Ansible, Python, Git
• Knowledge of integration with APIs on the IBM i platform at a high competency level alongside SQL
• PowerVC desirable (nice to have)
• Good knowledge and exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Elastic and at least working understanding of OTEL
• Ideally previous experience in a software engineering-type role or previous developer role (RPG/CL)
