Our large oil and gas client is seeking a small team of Instructional Designers to develop instructor-led training (ILT) materials for new production operators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review the existing competency framework and supporting documentation.
• Design and develop ILT materials, including facilitator guides, participant guides, presentation decks, and supporting activities or assessments, that align with both the factual and conceptual modules in the framework.
• Ensure the training content addresses:
• Hazards associated with Energy Isolation
• Types of Energy Isolation used and where they apply
• Processes and procedures related to hazard management
• Fundamental principles of Energy Isolation and Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Apply adult learning principles and practical, hands-on activities to help new hires demonstrate understanding and readiness for verification.

Start Date: Mid-October

Duration: Through 2025 with potential to extend

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

Location: Virtual

Experience Required:

• Extensive instructional design experience, with a strong focus on instructor-led curriculum design and material development.
• Experience creating training for field technicians or operational audiences.
• Prior experience in oil and gas or a closely related industry (utilities, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing) is required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
• A strong portfolio of instructional design and writing samples is required.
• Must be able to work exclusively on a PC for the duration of the project.

The pay range for this is $55.00 to $60.00 per hour W2. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
