FOR A CANDIDATE WITH 1-3 YEARS OF DEVOPS ENGINEERING

LIVING ANYWHERE IN THE USA EAST COAST OR CENTRAL TIME ZONE

Most important prior experience is in Kubernetes and Application Support

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the DevOps team, this junior engineer will support the development and operations teams as well as customers by assisting with software updates, software troubleshooting, code deployments and automation of various tasks.

The position is the foundation for understanding the collaboration between software development and IT operations.

Assist in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to enable quick and reliable code deployment

Coordinate with development teams, support teams and customers to resolve complex application and system issues

Support the automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration to ensure reproducibility and scalability

Troubleshoot and rectify application issues.

Monitor system performance, troubleshooting issues and contributing to incident response and resolution

Plan and execute strategies and configuration changes to ensure optimal quality assurance for all applications

Respond and manage tickets submitted by customers, support team and software development to resolve infrastructure and software related issues

Provide support to clients and team members in other departments

Participate in the creation and maintenance of documentation for DevOps processes and tools

Learn and adopt new tools and technologies to improve the DevOps workflow

Contribute to the development of security protocols to protect against cyber threats

Debug any server issues that impact application performance.

Engage in performance analysis and system optimization to enhance user experience

Facilitate communication between software developers and IT operations staff to resolve technical issues

Support the development of automated testing frameworks to minimize defects in production

Assist in the evaluation and implementation of containerization and orchestration technologies

Prepare and maintain documentation for all issues and implementation solutions.

Recommend ways to optimize business performance by presenting solutions to existing challenges

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1-3 years assisting in designing, deploying and maintaining on-premises and hosted solutions

Linux Fundamentals and Scripting

Version Control with Git

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Practices

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes

Cloud Services Management (AWS, Azure, GoogleCloud (GCP)

Configuration Management with Ansible, Puppet or Chef

Monitoring and Logging with tools like Prometheus, Grafana and/or ELK Stack

Networking, Security and Compliance basics

Programming Skills in languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, Go, etc.
