Lead Data Analytics and Visualization Engineer Description
We are thrilled to invite an experienced Lead Data Analytics and Visualization Engineer to join our team and lead efforts in transforming complex data into visually compelling insights using Power BI. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including guiding team members, refining processes, and delivering impactful visualizations to enable strategic, data-driven decision-making.

- Lead the reverse engineering of hundreds of existing reports and dashboards
- Analyze report usage, assess their efficacy, and guide optimization initiatives
- Recommend and oversee changes to semantic models, workflows, and report layouts for optimal usability
- Design, develop, and lead the creation of interactive dashboards using Power BI
- Ensure strategic optimization of data models and lead performance tuning efforts for efficient data processing across projects
- Implement and audit Row-Level Security (RLS) for robust data access control
- Document and review dashboard workflows to ensure purposeful alignment and reproducibility across teams
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate closely with stakeholders to align technical processes with business objectives
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in data visualization, analytics, and engineering
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Proven expertise in Power BI, including advanced skills in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and handling custom visuals
- Strong background in requirements analysis, SQL, and visual representation of information for key business decisions
- Experience in reverse engineering dashboards and conducting usage analyses to inform continuous improvement strategies
- Comprehensive understanding of agile or Scrum methodologies for project management and team collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to lead effective communication, storytelling, and insights synthesis from data analysis
- Advanced capability to recommend and implement improvements to semantic models and technical workflows
- Expertise in utilizing tools for optimizing performance, scalability, and maintaining data security across solutions
- Fluent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level or higher)

- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and its integration within broader data ecosystems
- Skills in incorporating Power BI solutions into enterprise-level digital ecosystems for enhanced functionality
- Innovative mindset to lead development of advanced reporting features and introduce emerging methodologies
