A facility in Evergreen Park, IL is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurohospitalist to provide inpatient neurology coverage on a telehealth locum tenens basis due to a staffing gap. This hybrid opportunity includes periodic on-site weeks and ongoing virtual support, ensuring continuity of neurological care for hospitalized patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver inpatient neurology consultations and support via telemedicine
Provide hospitalist neurology coverage and recommendations to care teams
Collaborate with on-site providers to assess, diagnose, and manage acute neurological conditions
Participate in virtual rounds and multidisciplinary team discussions
Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation
On-site Requirements:
Full on-site coverage required during the week of June 16 and July 7
Must be available to work on-site at the facility in Evergreen Park, IL
Telehealth Requirements:
Starting July 28, locum provider will deliver services virtually every third week
Must be equipped to provide high-quality virtual care with reliable technology and connectivity
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
Active Illinois Medical License and license in current state of residence
DEA license required
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Illinois Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required
Prior telehealth experience preferred but not required
