We are seeking an energetic, detail oriented, team player for the LOGISTICS SPECIALIST role in our International Product & Sourcing Group (IPSG) Operations . The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing the purchase order process from creation to receipt along with managing international logistics and supply chain, payments, customs file audits of all international import orders.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Order items from vendors and track shipments throughout the whole supply chain.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers/vendors, third party logistics providers (3PL), customs brokers, and government agencies.
  • Implement import operational procedures to ensure US Customs compliance.
  • Review and process international wire transfers to suppliers/vendors and domestic payments to third party logistics providers (3PL), customs brokers, government agencies to ensure accuracy and proper recordkeeping.
  • Review product import regulations and guidelines.
  • Responsible for import compliance in the areas of record keeping, HTS classification, CBP valuations, OGA regulations, etc.
  • Audit documentation for accuracy, accounting and US customs purposes; act as a liaison to corporate Accounting Department.
  • Reporting duties using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other software related.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Logistics Specialist, Import Coordinator or similar role and Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mandarin Chinese and English-speaking candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Strong ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines under limited supervision
  • Self-managing and pro-active initiative
  • Extensive attention to detail
  • Knowledge of logistics & supply chain, international trade, global sourcing, inventory management and general accounting practices
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills

Related working experience strongly preferred:

  • Data Analysis & Programming (VBA, Python, R, etc.)
  • Customs & Freight Forwarding
  • Finance & Accounting
