Job Description: American Fleet is seeking a skilled and experienced Medium/Heavy Duty Technician to join our team. As a Heavy-Duty Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles within our fleet management program. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, extensive experience in heavy-duty vehicle repair, and a dedication to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles within the fleet management program, including trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and technology to diagnose vehicle problems accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Technician.
  • Extensive knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
