NRP - Perfusion Assistant Location Boston, MA :

POSITION: Perfusion Assistant for NRP Cases FUNCTION OF POSITION: The Perfusion Assistant for NRP Cases is responsible for supporting staff Perfusionists in the setup and maintenance of the heart-lung machine during Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP) cases at donor hospitals across New England. This role also involves inventory management and logistical coordination of supplies and equipment for mobile missions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the setup and maintenance of the heart-lung machine during NRP cases at donor hospitals throughout New England.
• Utilize our iPad Electronic Charting Technology for record-keeping and data documentation during NRP cases.
• Manage inventory for equipment and supplies, including frequent visits to facility to pack Go Cases/Bags for cases.
• Provide on-call services, demonstrating flexibility to assist with NRP cases at various facilities throughout New England at different times of the day (e.g., 7:30 AM, 4:00 PM, 8:00 PM).
• Conduct moderate complexity point-of-care tests, such as Arterial Blood Gases and Activated Clotting Times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma.
• One year of experience in the medical field, with preference given to candidates with a Paramedic or equivalent medical background.

• Availability for on-call services during varied hours.
• Willingness to travel and work at different hospitals within New England.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
