Key Responsibilities:

As a Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor , you are the heart of the guest experience and a critical link in our overnight operations. You’ll combine warm, attentive customer service with accurate end-of-day accounting duties to ensure a smooth handoff between days. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work independently will help deliver seamless service and operational excellence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Guest Services

  • Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first and last impression
  • Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring accurate billing and handling special requests
  • Respond to guest needs, complaints, and requests with urgency and empathy, aiming to resolve issues on the spot
  • Answer phones, make reservations, and support late-night inquiries or emergencies
  • Promote hotel amenities, services, and special promotions

Night Audit & Financial Accuracy

  • Reconcile and balance the day’s hotel transactions across all departments
  • Run daily audit reports and ensure accuracy in charges, refunds, and account postings
  • Process invoices, folios, and payments; investigate and correct discrepancies
  • Prepare a detailed night audit summary and communicate key follow-ups to management
  • Monitor and maintain front office records, cash drawers, and safe deposit logs
  • Ensure compliance with end-of-day procedures and internal controls

Communication & Operations

  • Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, security, maintenance) as needed overnight
  • Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and safety protocols
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the front desk during overnight hours
  • Complete tasks to support the day team (organizing reports, preparing welcome packets, etc.)
  • A self-starter with excellent attention to detail and strong time-management skills
  • Someone who can work independently with minimal supervision and remain calm under pressure
  • Customer-focused mindset with clear and effective communication skills
  • Previous front desk or night audit experience is a plus, but not required
  • Basic math and computer skills (experience with PMS systems like Opera or Marriott systems is helpful)
  • Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • A highly motivated, positive, and engaging personality
  • A passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a customer-facing role (preferred, but not required)
  • Familiarity with FSPMS or other property management systems is a plus
  • A working knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow established financial procedures, including maintaining a house bank
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Overnight availability required , with shift times typically ranging from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM or 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous front desk or night audit experience is preferred, but we are happy to train the right candidate
