Empower Mind is a highly rated outpatient psychiatry and behavioral health practice located in Frisco, TX , providing compassionate and evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and adults .
We are expanding our team and seeking a Licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a passion for psychiatry and mental health care .

Position Summary

As a Psychiatry Physician Assistant , you will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for patients with mental health conditions.
You may work on-site at our Frisco office , remotely via telehealth , or in a hybrid setup .
Empower Mind provides full administrative support, including billing, scheduling, insurance verification, and EHR management , so you can focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and mood disorders
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications under psychiatrist collaboration
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication options, and coping strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
• Provide services either in-person in Frisco, TX , or via secure telehealth platforms

Qualifications

Licensure:

• Active Texas Physician Assistant (PA-C) license required
• DEA license (or eligibility) required
• Experience or strong interest in psychiatry and behavioral health
• Multi-state licensure is a plus for telehealth expansion

Education:

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
• Psychiatry/mental health rotation or relevant experience preferred

Experience:

• All experience levels welcome — New graduates encouraged to apply
• Outpatient psychiatry or telehealth experience preferred

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Compassion, empathy, and professionalism in patient interactions
• Ability to work independently within a productivity-based model
• Comfort using EMR and telehealth technologies
