Ability to work independently as well as in a team with other Religious Education staff

Highly organized and detail oriented

Job Responsibilities

The Religious Education Support person will work closely with the Religious Education staff to ensure programming runs smoothly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• First line of communication with parishioners and others who seek information and assistance regarding the Religious Education programming and sacramental prep.
• Assist with the planning and preparation for a few family events each year, as well as the celebration of sacraments in the Spring
• Develop proficiency in updating and maintaining the Parish database (Parish Soft) in regards to Religious Education families. Maintaining attendance records and program paperwork.
• Classroom readiness and upkeep.
• Receiving and processing Religious Education Registrations as well as tuition.
• Maintain accurate records for those preparing for Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation. Official recording of sacraments and notifications.
• Communicate regularly with staff, volunteers and families participating in Religious Education.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Catholic Sacraments, Christian value, and principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
