Job Description

The Evolutionary Genomics laboratory in the Division of Science, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant starting September 1, 2025. The successful applicant will assist senior researchers on a diversity of projects related to the area of adaptation genomics. Our group uses a variety of model systems to understand the evolutionary processes leading to adaptation to the environment as well as the evolution of phenotypes. The successful applicant will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the lab, the organization and management of our large collection of samples, as well as molecular biology experiments. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in biology or bioengineering, preferably with some experience in molecular biology or bioinformatics and a good understanding of evolutionary biology. Excellent organizational skills are required.
