Position Type: Non-Certified Staff/Support Staff/ Program Assistant Date Posted: 10/24/2025 Location: Aitkin High School Date Available: 01/05/2026 Closing Date: Open until filled District: Aitkin Public Schools Musical Set Design Position -- Aitkin High School Aitkin High School is searching for a part-time Musical Set Designer to work with staff and students for the 2025-2026 school spring musical. This part-time Musical Set Design position will be responsible for all matters pertaining to the organization and administration of the set design and construction. Responsibilities Assist the musical director as needed in building and designing the set. Perform other relevant duties regarding the set designs. Supervise students and assist in the set design process. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Assist in rehearsals and daily set changes to enhance performances. Work with musical directors with lighting, sound, blocking and staging of scenes. Qualifications Evidence of and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communications and interpersonal skills when working with other staff, parents, community members, supervisors and students. Ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly. Strong work ethic and dedication to further the benefits of student participation in co-curricular activities. Ability to perform essential job functions or as assigned.
