Note: This position requires employees to be on-site three days a week at either the Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, Crown Point, IN, or Indianapolis, IN office, with the option to work remotely two days a week.

Job Description

• Lead stormwater engineering projects, ensuring high-quality design and technical oversight.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for floodplains, bridges, and culverts.
• Develop and design stormwater management solutions for municipal and roadway projects.
• Perform modeling and analysis using tools such as HEC-RAS and SWMM.
• Oversee drainage and flood reduction projects, including erosion and sediment control measures.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers, reviewing project work and ensuring technical accuracy.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in stormwater engineering and water resources management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois and/or Indiana.
• Strong background in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater design.
• Experience with HEC-RAS, SWMM, and other modeling tools.
• Knowledge of roadway drainage, flood mitigation, and erosion control practices.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) is a plus.
