Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Telemetry to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for the care of medical-surgical telemetry patients with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac catheterization patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry patients’ vital signs and rhythms.


• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage their implications.


• Utilize rapid response and code teams when necessary.


• Administer IV therapy and perform phlebotomy as needed.


• Provide respiratory care, including oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management.


• Implement isolation precautions in accordance with hospital policies.


• Space and manage specialty drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and more.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.


• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 preferred.


• BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred.


• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring systems, specifically Hicuity System.


• Community hospital experience preferred.
