Job Description

Salary: $85,150 - 153,925 per year Requirements:

• I hold a BS degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field with 4-8 years of experience in user interface design, human factors engineering, or front-end development. Alternatively, I have a MS degree with 2-6 years of experience, or I possess 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• I possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• I have experience working on Agile development teams and am familiar with DevSecOps environments.
• I am proficient in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, React, or Angular).
• I am familiar with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
• I have an understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, Section 508).

• I will design and implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces based on detailed specifications and user input.
• I will develop wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups that convert into functional web pages or mobile application interfaces.
• I will collaborate closely with designers, developers, and product managers to ensure user interfaces align with technical and operational requirements.
• I will ensure all UI/UX components are fully integrated with backend services and comply with performance and security standards.
• I will conduct usability testing and interface validation to identify and resolve usability issues, performance bottlenecks, and accessibility concerns.
• I will apply human-centered design principles to continuously enhance user experience.
• I will ensure all UI/UX development activities comply with DoD security standards, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and relevant accessibility guidelines (e.g., Section 508).
• I will protect sensitive user data and contribute to the secure implementation of system components.
• I will document design decisions, user feedback, and development processes to support future enhancements and knowledge sharing.
• I will provide regular updates to leadership on development progress, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
• I will research and recommend new tools, frameworks, and best practices to optimize user interface development.
• I will stay current on emerging design trends, accessibility standards, and front-end development technologies.
