Your Role:

The Audio Visual Lead oversees daily AV operations to ensure all equipment and services are delivered on time, in top condition, and according to event requirements. Reporting to the AV Manager, this position guides the AV Technicians and contractors during event setup, operation, and teardown while maintaining high technical standards and excellent client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee AV setup, operation, and teardown for events based on Banquet Event Orders.
  • Supervise and support AV Technicians, providing direction, delegation, and training.
  • Serve as the primary on-site AV contact for clients, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or technical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory control and ensure all equipment is properly handled and stored.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless event experiences.
  • Uphold Boise Centres safety policies and maintain a professional, positive attitude.
Requirements:

Who Were Looking For:

Experience:

  • Minimum 35 years of experience supervising and training audio-visual technicians in live event settings.
  • Strong customer service background or client-facing experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of audio, lighting, video, and streaming production.
  • Proficiency with PC and Mac systems; ability to learn new software and AV platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to perform technical work safely, including rigging or operating equipment up to 22 feet high.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Working at tall heights and operating heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
