Job Summary:

We are seeking an IP Network Engineer with strong experience in routing, switching, and customer connectivity, along with skills in DevOps and automation. About 70% of this role focuses on IP networking tasks such as circuit management, routing protocol operations, and troubleshooting. The remaining 30% involves DevOps and automation , including scripting, API integrations, and process improvements to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

IP Networking (70%)

• Support, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other IP devices.
• Manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and IPv4/IPv6 addressing.
• Provision, test, and activate customer IP circuits.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and customer-facing connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with carriers and vendors for circuit installs, upgrades, and problem resolution.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and change records.

Automation & Development (30%)

• Write and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) to automate repetitive tasks.
• Use APIs for system integrations (server monitoring, provisioning, ticketing).
• Assist in developing utilities or dashboards to improve visibility and efficiency.
• Support CI/CD and infrastructure automation with tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Ansible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• CCNA or CCNP certification strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on IP networking experience.
• 1+ years of scripting or automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
• Experience with Cisco IOS; familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
• Understanding of APIs and RESTful integration

Physical Requirement

Occasional lifting, carrying, and standing.

• Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate office equipment.
• Vision sufficient to read computer screens, reports, and related department documents.
• Dexterity to operate computer keyboards and other related office equipment.
• Endurance sufficient to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
• Frequent speech communication and hearing.
