Job Title: Sr. Associate, Software Engineer Job Code: 23793 Job Location: Sunrise, FL (Onsite) Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Job Description: L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate, Software Engineer, to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Associate, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and support our mission-critical operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software products and solutions.
Essential Functions: - Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions and systems.
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineers from cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software solutions for products
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Ensure agile software development methodology is practiced managing software development cycle.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply this knowledge to improve existing systems and processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development process and team collaboration.
- Ability to obtain clearance is required.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in Software Engineering.
Preferred Additional Skills: - Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design.
- Development experience with the Linux OS
- Proficiency with C, C++
- Proficiency with multi-threaded, multi-core design and/or real-time operating systems
- Experience with object-oriented design
- Understanding of Design, Implementation and Testing of large software systems
- Experience with software emulators/debuggers
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment; good interpersonal and communication skills
- Creativity in problem solving.
