+ Prevent delays or internal bottlenecks in litigation support processes.
+ Evaluate current processes for receiving and responding to subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and investigations.
+ Identify procedural gaps, risks, or inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
+ Develop standardized workflows, internal protocols, and training resources for staff across departments.
+ Ensure all legal requests are tracked, authorized, and documented in a timely and compliant manner.
+ Review current contract management practices and ensure all critical vendor agreements are up to date and properly stored.
+ Focus on high-risk contracts such as Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) for HIPAA compliance.
+ Monitor compliance requirements including insurance certificates, licenses, and renewal dates.
+ Collaborate with procurement and finance to strengthen vendor risk management processes, including due diligence and performance monitoring.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ 5-8+ years of experience in legal operations, risk management, or compliance within an in-house legal department, healthcare organization, or nonprofit setting
+ Strong working knowledge of litigation processes and experience coordinating with outside counsel
+ Demonstrated success implementing or improving internal processes related to subpoenas, legal requests, or regulatory inquiries
+ Familiarity with healthcare-related compliance requirements, including HIPAA and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs)
+ Experience managing vendor contracts, tracking renewals, and monitoring compliance documentation (e.g., insurance certificates, licenses)
+ Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives independently
+ Clear and professional communication skills, including the ability to translate legal and compliance requirements into operational protocols
+ JD, paralegal certificate, or equivalent legal background strongly preferred but not required if the candidate has substantial in-house legal operations experience
