Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our healthcare team. The Medical Secretary will provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations, including patient scheduling, communication management, and front desk coordination. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and a commitment to excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls to appropriate contacts
2. Greet patients, manage check-in and check-out processes, and ensure accurate documentation
3. Schedule and confirm patient appointments in accordance with provider availability
4. Maintain patient records and update information in the electronic health system
5. Provide administrative support to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff
6. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations and policies
7. Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and families

Required Qualifications

1. Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a hospital or health center setting
2. Strong customer service and communication skills
3. Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment
4. Proficiency in basic computer applications and office equipment

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

1. Knowledge of Epic electronic health record (EHR) system preferred
2. Prior experience in medical office administration

Certifications (if any)

1. No specific certifications required; administrative or healthcare-related certifications are a plus
