Responsibilities

Ascension Wisconsin is looking for a Neurologist for our Neurology program. We are building a vibrant neuroscience program and are actively looking for a General Neurologist to join our downtown Milwaukee location.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Wisconsin to provide medical services to patients.

OPPORTUNITY:

Join a well-established and respected team of:

• 2 General Neurology Physicians
• 1 General Neurology APP
• 1 Epilepsy Physicians
• Neurosurgery team
• 100% Outpatient Neurology practice

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology
• Interest in reading EEGs, EMGs, and Botox is a plus
• Required to do: 36 patient contact hours

FACILITY

• A developed neuro-hospitalist program that provides 24/7 inpatient coverage
• Opportunity to become busy right away as this is a replacement for a retirement
• Walk right into a well-established practice!
• Support staff: 1 MA per physician
• Ability to work with a diverse patient population
• An ideal downtown Milwaukee location that is on the same campus as the Hospital o Neurodiagnostic lab: EEG, EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies o Established Neuropsychological program on-site o NeuroInterventional Radiology o Comprehensive Stroke Center

• EHR: Epic
• Referral patterns from Ascension Medical Group

CLINIC HOURS:

• Flexible Scheduling: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. 5 p.m.
• Patients per day: 13-15
• No after-hour calls as there is telestroke and telemedicine in place

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
