Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Solar Installer II with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in residential solar installation. This role is ideal for someone who has solid technical knowledge, works well on a team, and is ready to take the next step in their solar career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential rooftops.

  • Ensure installations meet SunStar’s standards, safety codes, and manufacturer specifications.

  • Conduct pre-installation job site inspections and assessments.

  • Assist in loading/unloading materials and staging job sites.

  • Collaborate with electricians and other team members for seamless system integration.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues in the field.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations and project details.

  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations and SunStar safety protocols.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2 years of solar installation experience required

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general construction practices

  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • NABCEP certification is a plus but not required

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor

  • 10-20% travel within the state of Texas
