About the Role
DB2 Database Administrator with strong DBA experience to handle databases on Linux platform.
Job Responsibilities
Administer DB2 LUW databases on Linux platform.
Install, upgrade and patch DB2 databases.
Strong with backup and recovery.
Conduct performance tuning of high scale databases
Strong experience in setting up DR databases and perform DR tests
Experience with automation using shell scripting or Ansible
Experience working with development teams for object deployment and setting up data replication using federation and other data replication tools like Attunity, DTShare etc.
Provides status report updates to managers.
Required Skills
12 + Years of experience in DB2 DBA with Replication
Expertise in Database Installation and Configuration: Installing and configuring Db2 LUW ( (Linux/Unix/Windows platform) database software on servers.
Strong in HADR, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management and troubleshooting
Experience in database design, patch and version management.
Knowledge in capacity Planning, documentation, collaboration, automation monitoring, compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Experience in Disaster Recovery Planning to minimize data loss in the event of a system failure.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Required Experience
Minimum 12 plus years of experience.
